Talladega or Burst

Ok, it's late and I'm tired. So you won't find many witty comments like you did for the Daytona 500 back in Feb 2008, but enjoy just the same!

Blogger/Blogspot is acting up and won't treat this as a link. So you'll have to copy/paste, sorry.

It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

This was in the Oct 8 email edition of Advocate Magazine The A List: East Dallas/Lakewood. Some pretty awesome Jack-O-Lanterns! New pictures are added, too.

Thank You, Neighbor

This is what I get to see and enjoy every day since my neighbor bought this. Last year she had a nice Christmas decoration outside. I need to find out if she makes her decorations or where she buys them.

Fooled Again

Funny story...This week I went to dentist. The hygienist was running behind so I was checking out some magazines. Martha Stewart doesn't do it for me, but I started looking at her magazine with pumpkins on the front. Flippin through, flippin through, nothing exciting in there for sure.

Then I saw an ad for Toyota Solara. It said "Introducing the New Toyota Solara". I perked up. Then I went, wait Toyota said they quit making them in 2008. I flipped the magazine on it's spine --- Oct 1998. I might have been the first one to look at the magazine as it was in such pristine condition. The 1999 model of the Toyota Solara was the first year of that car, so they would have been out late 1998. Wanted to laugh after seeing the date on the magazine, then felt sad. I bought mine March 1999. I sure enjoyed that car for the 10 years I had it!

When I go back to the dentist, if I see that magazine I will mention it to Front Desk lady, LOL...
