In 2007 My brother-in-law, Ron (#8 Dale Jr), and sister, Talana, lived close to the Texas Motor Speedway http://www.texasmotorspeedway.com/. For the last couple of years Ron has gotten NASCAR tickets at the last minute for sometimes, Truck, Busch, and/or Cup.Well in April of this year he got Busch tickets, and they asked if I wanted to go. I finally said yes. Because the traffic by the speedway is so bad my sister told me a different way to go. Since it was Busch we knew it would not be a mad house like a Sunday race.

They didn't expect the weather to be that cold so they ran out. While we were down there I saw a co-worker of mine, Lynda, out of all the thousands of people there. I didn't know she is into NASCAR(#20 Tony Stewart). So that was fun. It was exciting to be there, but I really missed the colorful commentary you get from watching it on tv. I made a note to myself to next time take a FM radio. At home I would have the races on TV, but never really watched them. I would be doing stuff round my apt or doing a craft. I noticed about 5-6 weeks after going in April I was actually watching them. Hence another NASCAR fan was born starting June 2007. Aw...
