I went back to MicroCenter http://www.microcenter.com/ in Dallas yesterday after work, and bought a cordless mouse. I don't think my right hand could have taken it much longer using the mouse pad thingy on my laptop. Hee Hee I said "my laptop".
Patti is right, remember when you bought a computer and you had to install ALL the software yourself??? Now it's practically done for you. This wireless mouse, all I had to do was plug the receiver into one of my 3 USB ports, put the Duracell AA battery in the mouse and away I went.
I have to work Saturday so maybe Sunday I'll attempt the printer/copier/scanner.
