Check Please

Sunday I cracked open my last set of checks to pay the rent this month. Yesterday I called and ordered another box of checks. It had been so long since I ordered checks I could not remember when it was. Guess what, they said my last order was December 2007! Wow

It still throws me off when I am in line at say Super Target and the person in front of me whips out their checkbook, AND starts filling it all out after the cashier gives them the final amount. I sure like my debit card.

Heck, I am barely (lol) old enough to recall, but was it not against Texas law for a bank to have a branch location as late as the 1980s? Anyone, anyone...
