Last weekend Dad called me to invite me to his girlfriend, Diane's, grandchild's first birthday party. He said "come on over the 19th we're going to have burgers and beer "(lol)..I'm there. Faith's actual birthday is today April 19. I bought her a set of roll-a-rounds and some stacking cups. My mom says kids love stacking cups. I discovered the roll-a-rounds by chance. A couple of years ago I was at Target shopping for a co-worker's grandson's first birthday party she threw for him. Guess I'm a hit at first birthday parties. I saw these toys called roll-a-rounds, and bought him a set. She told me a couple of days later he really liked them. They're small enough they can hold them in their hands, and they have stuff inside the clear plastic balls.
There were alot of people there. Diane, Dad, myself, Faith and her parents, Shelly and Michael, Diane's brother and his wife, Diane's high school friend and her first ex-husband, Diane's daughter and her two daughters plus a daughter's friend, Diane's nephew (who wore his Tony Stewart gear) and girlfriend. And last but not least Diane's ex-husband and his wife. Faith got a lot of presents, but more clothes vs toys.
Talana gave me heads up about Dad's burgers. They're either raw or burnt. Of course Dad said today in honor of Passover (whenever that was) the burgers will be burnt as in burnt offering. He did have Diane double-check them, aka cya. I ate two of them sans bun since I also ate some homemade tator salad. Them burgers were good.
Also Diane said Dad has been going to church...What??!! Like he used to ask me "Did the walls cave in when you went to church?" cuz it had been sooo long since I went, LOL...He said as you get older you start thinkin' about things, and realizin' your time is a comin'. Amen to that.
