Home phone line

Well it was December 2007 when I took a leap of faith and cancelled my home phone line aka land line. It was weird at first just not having a land line, but I haven't missed it. As a matter a fact I had already begun giving out my cell number before I cancelled my home number so rarely did I even get a call on the land line.

In the process of cancelling that line, AT&T residential customer service tried to tell me I could not dial 911 on my cell phone. Liar! I called the AT&T wireless customer service. Yes ,you can dial 911 on your cell phone, BUT you have to tell them where you are. If you cannot speak they wil go to the address they have on file for you. Global Positioning System (GPS) was included on my previous AT&T wireless plan. Now it's extra, and I choose not to have at this time.

I like having my cell as my main phone because it's always with me.
