We all have them, foods we never really liked, foods we used to like and don't any more, and foods we like now that we used to not like.
My mom was cool in that she was a picky eater so we were never forced to eat food we didn't like or food we didn't know if we liked, BUT we had to try a bite.
Here are some foods I never liked much:
Mayonnaise - I only tolerate it because I tried to make tuna salad once with mustard and it was awful. I don't like chicken salad because of the mayo. When I make deviled eggs, yes I used mayo, but I load 'em up in mustard to cover it up. I like mustard instead on my BLT.
Miracle Whip Salad Dressing - like it less than mayo
Relish - sweet or dill
Tartar Sauce - ingredients include mayo and relish, enough said.
Ketchup - too sweet. check the sugar grams on the label. for one tablespoon of ketchup there's a teaspoon of sugar. So basically 1/3 of ketchup is sugar...I like mustard on my fries!
Sweet Pickles - I might could choke down a bread and butter pickle, but why.
Liver - come on, need I say more?
Gravy - white or brown. If I HAD to eat it, brown gravy.
Parsley - I think every canned soup has parsley in it.
Honeydew Melon - don't like the texture, it's like it's not ripe.
I used to like, but don't anymore:
Sour Cream
Cheesecake
Raw Broccoli
Raw Cauliflower
Milk Chocolate - If I'm having a chocolate attack and milk chocolate is all there is, I'd probably eat it though.
American Cheese - it's not even a cheese, but a cheesefood, whatever that is.
Velveeta - probably made from American cheesefood.
Queso dip
Syrup
BBQ is just too sweet, now no sweet and spicy would be good. seems like all bbq sauce has sugar in it.
I finally tried, and like:
Beets
Capers - not even really sure what they are.
I didn't like at first, but it grew on me:
Cilantro
I can take it in small amounts:
Ginger
I tried and didn't like:
Mussel, didn't care for it. kinda fishy tasting which I was told is how they taste.
Dark Chocolate that has a % on the package like 57% or 65%. To me, they are too bitter.
I used to be able to eat these, but now they give me indigestion, and I like these foods! :
fatty meat (like pot roast)
Onions
Bell Pepper
