Austin March 2009 Visit

Dad and I went for a day visit to see my baby sister, Tara and her family. Rory is now 18 months old; growing like a weed, and smart as a whip! Later in the visit we would say "where's Grandpa?" or "where's Aunt Tammy?", and he would go or point to us. He loves to play ice cream shop, so we played...Cute,cute,cute.

Tara has talked about Salt Lick BBQ http://www.saltlickbbq.com/ in Driftwood TX for years. We went for lunch which was delicious especially the sausage, brisket, and cole slaw. I was all over that cole slaw which would make Rachael Ray happy because it was not mayo based. Now the one rib was tough... I forgot I had a somewhat temporary filling on my front tooth. My temp dentist (my dentist was recovering from back surgery) told me not to bite AND pull. So course I forgot and didn't take it easy on that rib, the filling fell out. Oh well, had a cleaning appointment with the dentist for early April, so will ring her a bit little earlier. The hot sauce was not their brand, but one out of Austin. I liked it because it was not all vinegary like Tabasco. I would go back to Salt Lick!
