wait...first of all let me say how much fun it was to have my niece, Sophia, stay with me for a week. She has stayed once-a-month weekends with me since she was 2 1/2 yo, but this was the first time she stayed for a week. Let's do it again!

ok, now on to NASCAR:
I know the drivers had to be glad to have this break even though it's the last one for the season. Season ends in November at Homestead.

My Cup driver, Carl Edwards, won the Nationwide race Jul 19. He could have taken an 18 minute flight from his home in Missouri, but he chose to ride his bike with a group of guys for the 100 plus mile journey. He stopped at a Sav-A-Lot store (one of his Nationwide sponsors) and no one recognized him even though his picture was everywhere. I plan to go one more time to Office Depot in Grapevine in November. Once Aflac becomes Carl Edwards' primary sponsor next year I don't know if he'll be doing any autograph sessions outside the track. Denise, be sure and get that TMS Dickies 500 tee to me before then and I'll have him sign it when I go.

And let me say this, whether you like Kyle Busch or not, make note, history is being made, so pay attention. One day we'll be able to say "remember when...". Last year Kyle Petty said Richard Petty said Kyle Busch is the most natural talent he's seen in 25 years. Wow...
