Sweet Youth

Well Sophia and I were running errands today. We went to NorthPark Mall and as we were walking through Nordstrom's to get to the mall a cosmetic lady stopped us and asked if I wanted to try some eye products that would do something in 30 seconds, improve me I guess. I said "sure". As she was having me get seated and she was getting ready, she hesitated then asked if I was under 40!!! I looked at her thinking is she serious, she was... I said "I love you" and "no, I'm 46". Sophia told her I had my birthday this week and that I'm 46. She asked if I wore makeup, and I told her just eye and lip stuff. She complemented me on my skin.

I say thank you also to genetics, green tea, dark choc, and red wine!! I am still riding high on this encounter. And no I didn't buy any product, but I had her write down what she applied like I might buy it some day, not.

I quit wearing foundation probably in 1993. I have some large pores and I figured caking that foundation of top just wasn't going to do the many good. My skin needed to breathe. I don't even own any foundation so that once a year holiday party I am out looking for the tiniest container of foundation I can find at the store. What I should do is just go to the department store and let them have at it.
