Technology and Me

Taking inventory of what I have:

a cell phone (no longer have a landline phone)
bluetooth
digital cable tv
digital video recorder (dvr)
dvd player
laptop with Microsoft Vista
wireless mouse
digital camera
and a hand-crank can opener (wanted to see if you're really reading this).

Also, I did use a co-worker's Garmin GPS while on vacation in Arizona last month. It was easy to use. We had mapquest.com directions as backup. All in all the Garmin worked out well. Only hiccup we had was getting to the Bisbee Inn for the first time in the dark.

Late last week I bought my first MP3 player with FM radio. It's a Sansa Clip MP3 2gigabyes(GB) by SanDisk for $49.99. Walmart only had pink, so I got pink. Funny my cell phone is pink, too. So don't start buying me pink stuff. With the phone, it was free. I am guessing not too many people wanted pink, but I was too frugal to want to pay anything for a phone at that time. Plus how many pink cell phones/mp3 players get stolen, (smile)?

Radio Shack sale paper that came in the junk mail had the Sansa Clip MP3 in 2GB for same price but also in Black, Red, and Blue.

I really want the MP3 more for FM radio than my cds, I think. It says it holds 500 songs. I'm concerned if I listen to my cds too much I'll get tired of them, but I'll give it a try. I listen to local talk on 105.3 FM (Jagger Mafia) on the way to work, and 93.3Fm (Pug's and Kelly) on the way home.

I look forward to walking on more of my breaks now that I have something to entertain my mind while I walk 15 minutes. Added bonus, my Motorola Razr cell phone a/c charger works on the Sansa as well. Read it on a review either on amazon.com or bestbuy.com. I have two chargers, one came with my cell and the other with my bluetooth. So I'll take one to work. Good to have one there anyway for my cell. So hopefully this is a good starter MP3.

Also on my list to eventually buy: a flatscreen LCD tv...but man, my 1997 27 inch Magnavox is still hanging in there.

my pink Sansa MP3.
