So what kind of tea do I brew using my wonderful electric tea kettle?
Earl Grey, I know it's all fancy and stuff, but I cannot stomach bergamot. Bergamot is what gives Earl Grey its distinct flavor. Lady Grey tea, a lighter version of Earl Grey, was no better. Funny, I have to be careful as some black teas on an empty stomach in the morning make me nauseous.
My favorite tea for several several years now is Tazo's Zen http://www.tazo.com/default.asp?hasFlash=1&init=. It's a green tea with lemon verbena, spearmint, and lemongrass flavors. Love the stuff! Every once in while I'll buy another brand or flavor, and I still come back to Tazo Zen. I drink my tea straight up, no sweetener or cream. Think the English do cream.
The cool people buy/use loose leaf tea. Me, I buy it in the teabags. Super Target, Walmart, and Tom Thumb carries the stuff. Where's the most expensive place to buy it? That's right, Starbucks. So we don't go there.
Coffee has the most caffeine (100 mg per cup), then black tea (50 mg per cup), then green tea (30 mg per cup).
Being from the South I love brewed ice tea. I like it strong and bitter, like my men. That's a joke, people.
